On Sunday, May 15, Debra Ann LoGiudice (Freitas), loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, unexpectedly passed away into the arms of God. Debbie was born on May 30, 1955 in San Jose, and moved to Santa Cruz at the age of 16 with her parents Abel J. and Carmen C. Freitas. Debbie graduated from Soquel High School where she energetically participated in the glee club and worked at the local Wienerschnitzel. She later attended Cabrillo College studying various aspects of the medical industry in which she whole-heartedly applied to her future positions in the medical field. Debbie was a devoted member of the team at Dr. Alvie S. Hurray's office for over ten years. Debbie enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, baking, and anything crafty, but nothing gave her more joy than spending quality time with her family and many friends. One of Debbie's most recent proud moments was holding her first grandchild, Jack Gilbert. Debbie was a two-time cancer survivor and will forever be remembered for her unwavering strength, courage, determination, and faith in God. Even through the toughest of times, she remained positive and upbeat. Her acquired disability never slowed her down. Debbie's selflessness, generosity, and caring spirit will be greatly missed.
