Obituary of Axel Eugene Jonasson

Axel Eugene Jonasson A graveside service will be held in Soquel on Tuesday for Axel Jonasson who passed away at El Camino Hospital in Mt. View, California, from heart complications. Born in Pennsylvania, he was 74 years old. He earned his Masters Degree in History from San Jose State University and was a teacher for over 40 years in the San Jose area. He was a very dedicated man and his family will forever remember his ability to love unconditionally. He was a member of The Swedish American Patriotic League, and volunteered his time as a Salvation Army Soldier. He served his country in the US Army, and his family noted that he touched the lives of many students, colleagues and friends, and was a "Man of God" He enjoyed playing the piano and was an accomplished tennis player. He is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth and Annie Jonasson. Friends and family will gather for a graveside service on Tuesday, May 24th, 2011 at Soquel Cemetery (550 Old San Jose Road) Soquel, CA, beginning at 11 a.m. Visit www.pacificgardenschapel.com to light a candle.
