I am very sorry for your loss. my condolences to you and your family. During this time of hardship you may find the scripture to be of great comfort. Its acts 24:15 which says, “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” I hope this scripture helps you cope with your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever. (Psalm 37:29) It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time.

Dear Holland Garcia Family:
I offer you my sincere condolences upon passing of Holland. In grieving the loss of one of my closest childhood friends I regret that I had not kept in touch with him better throughout my adult life. I meet, Holly as he was known as then, in third grade when my family moved to Carmel. Over the years we palled around until I left town after our first year in High School. During my last few years in Carmel we lived close to each other and became closer in our friendship. I fondly remember many hikes and explorations of the nature in the Carmel canyons and his beloved Point Lobos Reserve. Holland always had a keen observation of the natural life that abounded in and around the Carmel area. I enjoyed his companionship as friend as well as learning from and with him about our beautiful Carmel. It was a deeply sad day when I had to leave Carmel and the friendships I had enjoyed over the years, Holland's being the most significant. Over the years we had come to keep in touch with each other via written correspondence and then email. When I would visit on occasion we would get together to discuss our various explorations into the spiritual search. Sometimes our paths were very parallel other times quite diverse. No matter where or when those variations occurred Holland was always very accepting and patient with my own expressions. As time passed I visited Carmel and Holland less. But no matter how much time has passed, in my heart, I shall always remember the experiences of fun and kindness of Hollands friendship. May you rest in peace my friend.
Sincerely,
Paul Heisel
